Temperament
The Burmese cat is renowned for its affectionate, playful, and friendly temperament. They are highly social cats that form strong bonds with their human companions. Often titled as the “dogs of the cat world,” Burmese cats love to be around their owners and enjoy participating in family activities. They can very easily learn to play fetch and go for walks on a lead. They are also known for being very vocal, but their soft, sweet meows are pleasant rather than overwhelming.
Behaviour
Burmese cats are incredibly curious and intelligent. They thrive on mental stimulation and enjoy interactive play, often seeking out toys or games to keep themselves entertained. Their playful nature stays with them well into adulthood, and they will happily engage in activities such as fetch or problem-solving games. Most will pick a type of toy that will become their favourite activity.
Cuddliness
If you’re looking for a cuddly companion, the Burmese cat is an ideal choice. They love to be close to their humans, and many will seek out laps to curl up in, following their owners around the house for attention. They thrive on physical affection and enjoy being petted, hugged, or simply spending time with their family.
Trainability
Due to their high intelligence, Burmese cats are quite trainable. They are quick to learn tricks, can be trained to respond to their name, and may even enjoy learning basic commands. They will learn to use a harness and go for leaded walks out in your community.
Toilet training is not a issue with most learning to use a litter box with ease. Their willingness to please their owners makes them excellent candidates for training.

Their playful and patient temperament means they often enjoy the company of young ones and will happily engage in games or cuddles.
